You are really fortunate to have Ann Cahoon guide you as you make each others rings under her skilful tuition. Now a designer goldsmith with a focus on high-carat gold and platinum fabrication, Ann also devotes time to teaching on a regular basis.
After receiving an honors BFA in Metalsmithing, Jewelry and Ceramics from the Maine College of Art in 1998, Ann expanded her experience by working in a production environment for a designer/jeweler while continuing her training at Boston's North Bennett Street School, completing their Jewelry Making and Repair program in 2002. With this diverse experience, Ann started working independently almost immediately and, although now well-known internationally as an artist and designer, she is proud of the skills she retains as a tradesman and technician. |
The Wedding Ring Experience was first created in London as the result of a challenge thrown down by our founder, Simon Lewis, in the locker room of his Rugby football team after a game! Knowing of his fine reputation and artistic skill as a jeweler, one of his team-mates asked Simon if he would make the wedding bands for him and his bride. Jokingly, Simon replied “Why don't you make them yourself? I'll show you how.” The rest, as they say - is history. |
